HOW & WHERE DID ‘PLAY 2 ALL’ CONCEPT START?
Throughout 2023 it was becoming clear that our live music scene had not bounced back from the perils of recent years. Some damage was financial, but there was growing reality that audiences & society were changing, sometimes impacting negatively on the live scene.
A very testing year finally saw closure of long running, iconic Moles Club, Bath in December where a team member had played regularly in the 1980’s. The ‘Play 2 All’ ideology had come up while they were writing an article for Blues in Britain Magazine & as a result of this final straw, a team effort was fired into action.
In March 2024 launch events were held throughout the UK & from Sunday September 1st a free-to-use directory of ‘Play 2 All’ participating venues & events will be available on this site. Aim being to welcome absolutely everyone on board to ensure the future of Live Music by preventing further closures.
WHO ARE WE?
‘Play 2 All’ is run by a team of dedicated volunteer industry professionals; Mike, Helga, Natalie, Andy, Kathleen & Kevin. From August 2024 Jane Couch MBE became the scheme UK Project Ambassador.
‘Play 2 All’ supports venue & concert security that provides a safe, secure experience for all event attendees.
